EDM Drilling
EDM (electrical discharge machining) Hole Drilling uses an electrically-charged metallic electrode tool. This electrode tool is used to create a spark that quickly erodes material. Both the electrode and the part are submerged in deionized water which removes debris. This process makes it possible to make extremely accurate (in dimension and tolerance) holes which require no additional work to remove burrs or smooth the surface. Braneva Precision uses CNC-operated wire EDM machines capable of drilling blind holes or through holes in any electrically conductive or heat-treated material. With more than 28 years of experience, we have the expertise to provide holes as small as .008" in diameter. For specific capabilities of all our machines, click here. We have an “old school” work ethic and pride ourselves on timely delivery of high quality parts at competitive prices. Whether you need a prototype, short or long production runs, we will put our expertise in machine operation, tool-making, programming and engineering to work for you.
